Temperature/pressure issue on thermostatic Aquamassage shower column

AQUAMASSAGE® TROUBLESHOOTING for Pressure and/or temperature issue

Problems with pressure or temperature are normally caused by a poor hot water supply caused by dirt blocking the flexible supply lines. We recommend inspecting the flexible water supply lines behind the shower column and/or flushing the faucet and supply lines by following the instructions below.

  1. Shut off the main water line of the house.

  1. Remove the thermostatic cartridge (instructions available at https://www.youtube.com/@aquamassage). While the thermostat is off the shower column, turn on the house's main water line for 5 seconds to make sure dirt comes out of the brass faucet.

  1. Reinstall the thermostatic cartridge in the shower column and test the different temperature settings. If the different temperature settings are available and pressure is good, the problem is solved, if you still have problems, continue to step 4.

  1. Remove the shower column from the wall by raising it approximately 2 inches (5cm) to access the stainless steel hot and cold water supply pipes. Check the flexible water supply lines for any kink or twist which could lower the pressure.

If a kink or twist is visible, make sure to eliminate the kink and reinstall the shower column. If the different temperature settings are available and pressure is good, the problem is solved, if you still have problems, continue to step 5.

  1. Disconnect the stainless steel supply hoses from the wall and make sure there is no debris at the supply inlet.

  1. Disconnect the stainless steel supply to the brass shower column faucet and ensure that the check valves (Backflow preventers) move smoothly and are free of dirt.

  1. While the shower column is disconnected from the wall, open the main water of the house for 5 seconds and reinstall the shower column afterwards.

Stiff thermostatic handle

If the handle is difficult to operate, this may be caused by a buildup of limescale in the thermostatic cartridge and a good descaling usually does the job. We recommend that you first perform descaling maintenance using a commercial descaler or coffee machine descaler, as shown in the following video: https://www.youtube.com/thermostatic. Note that this maintenance does not work every time. The amount of limescale accumulated and its hardness plays a major role in the effectiveness of descaling.

If you need to replace the thermostatic cartridge, you can order it at the following link: https://outlet.pierdeco.design/thermostaticcartridge

The thermostatic cartridge is covered by a 5 year warranty against limescale buildup. If your shower column is less than 5 years old and you are the first buyer, we invite you to send us a copy of the original invoice in order to evaluate the warranty. For any questions, please reply to this email and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
