Stiff thermostatic handle 

If the handle is difficult to operate, this may be caused by a buildup of limescale in the thermostatic cartridge and a good descaling usually does the job. We recommend that you first perform descaling maintenance using a commercial descaler or coffee machine descaler, as shown in the following video: https://www.youtube.com/thermostatic. Note that this maintenance does not work every time. The amount of limescale accumulated and its hardness plays a major role in the effectiveness of descaling.

Two cartridges are available: the AQ100, made of solid brass, and the AQ101, made of polymer. While both models fit the vast majority of our models, we recommend replacing them with the same model currently installed in your shower column to ensure compatibility. We therefore recommend removing the handle and checking whether the cartridge is gold (AQ100), white (AQ101), or black (AQ101) before ordering.

 

The thermostatic cartridge is covered by a 5 year warranty against limescale buildup. If your shower column is less than 5 years old and you are the first buyer, we invite you to send us a copy of the original invoice in order to evaluate the warranty.
